GRAB LIFE BY THE STICK
Banana Peels started as a name I made up in a Discord server with my online friends during COVID. What began as a fun idea in a digital community slowly turned into something much bigger. That name followed me from dreaming up a clothing brand, to eventually scrapping that idea, buying a camper trailer off Facebook Marketplace, and deciding to build something real with my own hands.
Inspired by years of watching home renovation videos and learning as I go, I set out to create my own brand from the ground up—designing the look, feel, and personality of Banana Peels as a food truck. The goal was always to make something fun, approachable, and completely mine.
The food is inspired by international street food and food on a stick—simple, convenient, and packed with flavor. One menu idea in particular had lived in my head for years after seeing it online, but everything changed when I finally traveled to Taiwan and tried it from a street vendor. That experience made me fall in love with it even more, and inspired me to remake it my own way and share not just the food, but the stories and memories that come with it.
Food is my love language, and Banana Peels is how I get to share the flavors I love and the experiences I’ve collected with more people in the world. From an online joke to a rolling kitchen, Banana Peels is about creativity, community, and sharing good food—one stick at a time.
